The Guildhall Practice
Birmingham. City Centre. Kings Heath. Sutton
Coldfield.
The team at The Guildhall Practice, Birmingham, is dedicated to
empowering you and your family to achieve your true potential. We are
predominantly an Osteopathic Practice based in Birmingham City Centre,
Kings Heath and Sutton Coldfield. We take pride in our levels of service
and the care that we provide for all of our patients, from newborns to
elite athletes and the mature.
Our Navigation Street Practice is opposite the Victoria Square exit
from New Street Station, we are the only Osteopaths practice in Birmingham
City Centre. Andrew Leask, an Osteopath, founded the Guildhall Practice
twenty years ago, and has developed the Guildhall Practice to include
Acupuncture, Sports Massage, Hypnotherapy, Exercise Rehabilitation and
Pilates.
We have built a strong reputation as Osteopaths in treating low back
pain, neck pain. However, Osteopathy is very effective when treating any
joint or muscular pain. We frequently treat tennis elbow, golfer's elbow,
frozen shoulders, hip pain, knee pain, ankle and foot pain. Many athletes
and dancers use Osteopathy when for preparing for events and to treat
injuries folowing events or performances. The Guildhall Practice and our
Osteopaths have supported many athletes from Birchfield Harriers and
dancers from Birmingham Royal Ballet over the past twenty years.
We are grateful for the continued support of our existing Osteopathic
patients and we are proud of the fact that the majority of our new
patients find the Guildhall Practice through personal recommendation. Our
latest survey concluded that 87% of our existing Osteopathic patients
found The Guildhall Osteopaths through word of mouth.
The Guildhall approach is based principally upon Osteopathic assessment
and diagnosis with an integrated treatment approach. Treatment plans are
built according to each patient's individual needs and may well involve
the combination of different treatment modalities, Osteopathy,
Acupuncture, Massage, Physiotherapy, Pilates and exercise classes. If we
feel it necessary we have an Orthopaedic surgeon within the team and can
request MRI scans through an independent provider.
We appreciate the impact that back and neck pain can have, and how it
can rapidly affect the quality of life. The Guildhall Practice is patient-centred
and we will always give you a clear explanation of our diagnostic
approach, the intended treatment and the expected response to treatment.
It is our experience within the practice that this approach produces
the most rapid response to treatment. With most patients we expect
significant improvement in pain and disability within four treatments, and
will completely review your case with a colleague if we fail to meet that
target.
The Guildhall approach is more than simply pain relief. Our core intent
is to improve the mechanical balance through the body, not simply the
painful joint. Once we have resolved your current problem we will
encourage you to maintain a routine of exercises aimed at maintaining your
flexibility and encouraging stability.
We aim is to exceed your expectations as a health care provider. Our
personalised service together with the friendly and relaxed atmosphere
will make you feel comfortable and cared for from your first visit.
